Its almost a year since our country was taken by surprise and millions watched while thousands died. We never witnessed such a massacre of friends we hadn't met. Our country was devastated that day. We were attacked and violated.

Yes we were scared and yes we were frightened. We had not known such an atrocity was possible. Our freedom and our way of life as we knew it had changed. Innocent lives lost. Even some were lost trying to save others.

We came together as a nation that day. As many stood in disbelief, too shocked for words there were many that were up to the challenge to find those missing. To sift through the rumble for possibly someone to save. A hard undertaking at the very least but a job that needed to be done. Our country yearned for someone to be alive as much as we needed our new heroes to find them. Tears for strangers.

It's almost a year. We have moved on but we have not forgotten. Could we ever forget such a tragedy? We may not know all the peoples names lost that fateful day, but their spirit is deep in our minds and our hearts. This day will live in infamy. It is a day that bared no national significance before 2001. Now we still live with the fear, can it happen again?

We raced at Richmond this past weekend and we were excited to see that all 3 racing series were in attendance. We celebrated life and remembered those who were lost. The spectacular show in the stands that produced the American Flag and the words "God Bless America" spoke volumes without saying a word. We are proud to be Americans. You can hurt us but you can't break us. I am choked with emotion.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday night we raced the short track in Virginia. I thought we would see what we could remember from the racing weekend. We haven't had a Trivia quiz in awhile. I thought maybe we were due.
