A Rhyme this Time
Stewart's up front and leading the way
Johnson the rookie is close behind
Martin hangs tough wouldn't you say
A better race you'll never find.
But I am right there, who might I be
I too challenge and battle to win
To be there at the end, that's the key
Find the combination, the winning team.
Points are imperative to our quest
Good track position is what we need
Two or four tires, which is best
It's about strategy and finding speed.
Challenging for the lead, running side by side
Go high go low, search for the best line
Hey, there's traffic, should we try 3 wide
I'm taking the spot; move over, it be all mine!
A bump, a shove, a ding and a dent
Look at me, I'm swappin paint
To grab the spot was all I meant
But a Winston Cupper, no I ain't.
When they win, I want to be there
I too yell and scream and shout
Talk how we won it, just by a hair
A great race is what it's all about.
Am I a Poet and just don't know
Or do I race for the win each week
NASCAR and me, it's a Sunday show
Do you know who I am, to whom you seek?
To the racers Stewart, Johnson and Martin
The championship, it's not so meager
Beatin and bangin to the very end
Just like me, the fantasy leaguer.
