Starting Lineup for the Bristol 2 Bass Pro Shops NRA Night Race

Track position is important at any race track, but when it’s a half-mile bullring like Bristol Motor Speedway, that importance jumps up a notch. The leader at Bristol starts lapping cars very quickly, and if you start near the back and can’t make your way through traffic, you can easily find yourself in a bad situation within the first 100 laps. Of course, Saturday night’s race is scheduled to be 500 laps in length, so drivers that didn’t qualify as well can still finish up front as long as they can stay on the lead lap.
