We’re off to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend for the Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500. Typically, Atlanta has been a pretty predictable race–at least for the front runners–but there’s a big question mark on Kevin Harvick and whether his normal dominant self will show up this weekend. I wrote a full section on what I think about and how I’m handling that in my DraftKings article, and be sure to check out my FanDuel article as well.

Optimal DraftKings Lineup (according to Jordan’s projections)

  1. Martin Truex, Jr.
  2. Kyle Larson
  3. William Byron
  4. Tyler Reddick
  5. Ryan Newman
  6. Anthony Alfredo

Confidence Meter: 8/10. I really like this base lineup. You have the place differential potential with Reddick, Newman, and Alfredo, and then dominator potential with Truex and Larson. With Byron, you have kind of an off-sequence DraftKings play. As mentioned in the video below, you could pivot down off of Byron and go with Austin Cindric or Alex Bowman instead. Another lineup I don’t hate with this similar build is Truex, Larson, Reddick, Kurt Busch, Newman, and Buescher. There’s also enough cap space with that lineup to grab the chalk play of Cindric over Reddick.

Optimal FanDuel Lineup (according to Jordan’s projections)

  1. Martin Truex, Jr.
  2. Kyle Larson
  3. Denny Hamlin
  4. Austin Cindric
  5. Ryan Newman

Confidence Meter: 5.5/10. I don’t love having Truex, Larson, and Hamlin in one lineup on FanDuel. I’m perfectly fine with having two of the three, but it’s going to take a near-perfect scenario for those three to wind up in the optimal lineup on Sunday. The 2nd-highest projected lineup includes Truex, Larson, Bowman, Kurt Busch, and Cindric, which I like a lot more. You could also pivot to Newman off of Cindric there, or even Buescher. The top projected lineup without Truex is: Larson, Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Bowman, and Cindric. The top projected lineup without Larson is: Truex, Hamlin, Kyle Busch, Bowman, and Buescher.
