Important Notes: There were two practices scheduled for Saturday, but the first got cancelled due to rain. These speeds are from the scheduled second session. The Richard Childress Racing cars of Austin Dillon and Daniel Hemric showed the best speed again this weekend, and now the biggest question will be whether or not that translates into race speed on Sunday. Remember, Hemric was legitimately challenging for a top 5 finish at Atlanta last weekend. There were no major happenings this practice session, although it’s noteworthy to mention that Clint Bowyer was “wrecking loose” and told his team that they will wreck on Sunday if major changes aren’t made.
