Important Notes: Wind, wind, wind was the story once again this practice session. The NASCAR teams saw gusts of up to 30 mph this session, which is a lot stronger than what we’ll see tomorrow (around 10 mph). It’ll also be a bit warmer during Sunday’s Auto Club 400 race than it was this practice session (about 5-10 degrees warmer).

Jordan, where did you get your 15 consecutive lap average times? I read elsewhere that Logano was #1 on both the 15 and 20 consecutive lap averages. I sure would like to be sure so I can make well informed decisions. Thanks.
I got 15-lap averages from a tweet by Mike Joy of the scoring monitors at the track. This was with about 10 minutes left in practice.
jordan there appears to be an error in the standings from the last race, in the previous position and change. i beleve i was 18th or 19th after vages.
