Important Notes: The first practice session on Saturday was cancelled due to weather, so this Practice #2 serves as the only post-qualifying session of the weekend. Bubba Wallace and Denny Hamlin had a little run-in early on in the practice, and although Hamlin thought he hit the wall, the damage was minimal if there was any on that #11 Toyota. Other than that, the practice was pretty un-eventful. Erik Jones had to serve a penalty for failing inspection and wasn’t able to be on the track for the last 15 minutes of practice, but that’s his only punishment for that. One thing to note: Jeff Gordon said he likes to look at averages over the last 20 minutes of practice, and he noted that Kyle Larson and Kyle Busch were the best on that chart.
